The world is at a consensus about the importance of Emotional Intelligence in our life, the world has finally found a subject that addresses man’s most important performance tool “EMOTIONS”; emotions drive people arbitrarily, the successful management of emotions drive people positively and the inability to manage emotions drive people negatively.
Thriving with Emotions started as a 5 minutes weekly podcast in 2018 in my quest to help people go beyond the “knowing of emotional intelligence into the “application of emotional intelligence”. This book is an emotional intelligence application tool. It addresses the application of Emotional intelligence in managing work and lives challenges like indecision, procrastination, disappointment, criticism, disagreement, satisfaction, stage fright etc. Each work and life challenge is addressed one after the other using Emotional Intelligence tools.
This is a tool that would empower you beyond all the possible negativity in your environment; your work and life.
Everyone has a story and there are lessons in every story. As a very private person I usually do not use my stories in my day to day teaching as I usually falsely associate it with arrogance. In recent times, I shared a few stories and realized how much impact it made, thus the reason behind celebrating my 40th birthday with chronicles of lessons from my life and business.
Like with several young people in a developing nation, humble beginning was what life blessed me with and having to scale through the plague of lack, leaving home as a teen and surviving in the streets of Lagos through to university coupled with not having the opportunity to taste the leisure and pain of an employee because no one will employ me as a graduate to becoming a voice that help others to find fulfillment, there should definitely be lessons that would help to fortify several young men and women out there.
I am grateful for the life that I have lived. In my little corner, I have millions that I have been sent to and through this book I know I will be able to reach those who I might never have the privilege of sitting with in a one-on-one coaching or mentoring session.
